I was born Michael Anthony Lipscomb; years later my mother remarried and I changed my name to Michael Anthony Carter. Professionally I am a maintenance worker at The Great Commission Church. I went to prison for drug dealing with a sentence of 8 – 20 years in state prison, coming home on March 23, 2014, walking off the remainder of my sentence which was completed March, 2020. I have been a member and employee for almost 9 years at The Great Commission Church and I’m a Life Coach for Community Forgiveness and Restoration, working with returning citizens in giving back to them what God has blessed upon me.”
C.F.R. helped me to reconnect with my high power in a different way. To witness those who came from afar to believe in and shower blessings from up above to inmates was unique and wonderful to experience. I have been encourage to also give and sacrifice myself to benefit other returning citizens. I came from a pilot program as a participant, to a facilitator and now a life coach is certainly a blessing from the Lord. The road traveled isn’t bound by distance, time, place, but with love and grace. Thank you Community Forgiveness and Restoration. (CFR) .

I thank God for giving ear to my cries and pitying all my groans towards the prejudice, and lost opportunities, and closed doors for convicted felons that are now creaking open. I strive to be the change that want to see. I`m trying to save our sons (my son) is what we must invest in where the world puts a period God puts a comma. Thank You, CFR for being a LIGHTHOUSE.

I met Tommy Robinson the founder of CFR over 10 years ago at SCI Graterford. Now I'm so proud to be a volunteer and supporter of CFR under the leadership of Dr., Pastor Larry Anderson, Pastor Darryl Dade, and Penny McDonald. It's a blessing to greet and see so many people benefit from the resources they receive, and they all greet me respectfully with mom.
When opportunities come, there are times that those choices become incomplete. However, choices can uplift the soul which humbles the spirit and continues the growth of the mind, spirit and soul. Therefore, the development of self has the ability that changes the narrative and to change ourselves. I have found the best choiœ; the most spiritual gathering of people who have experienœd the same life in ways that al- lowed hope for so many as well as learn to believe in those individuals that are told how to change the narrative within us.
The joy is that this group of men and women who gave their guidance, knowledge, experiences has enlightened our minds to do better, live better and to make better choices in life for ourselves. This is the best investment that one can ever make. Community Forgiveness and Restoration (CFR) is by far the greatest program of resources, and job readiness with the spirit of Goď's presence. The program allows us to overcome and not allow our past to define our future, so help me God.
